Hi, I'm Wendy Zheng

Full-stack engineer for complex, performance-critical systems.

Over the past 3+ years, I've built full-stack applications where the hardest engineering problems happen behind the scenes but directly shape the user experience. I focus on performance, reliability, and turning complex workflows into software people can trust.

Open to full-stack engineering roles in NYC and remote.

About

Building software that holds up in the real world

I'm Wendy, a full-stack engineer based in New York with 3+ years of experience building software across frontend, backend, and data layers. A lot of the work I've been drawn to sits behind the scenes: systems with complex workflows, large amounts of moving data, and logic that needs to be both fast and correct because it directly shapes how users experience the product.

I enjoy the kind of engineering where reliability is part of the product itself. That has meant working on backend-heavy features like performance-sensitive authorization, scheduling workflows, large data processing flows, and other operationally complex systems where small technical decisions can have a big impact on usability, trust, and day-to-day efficiency.

Outside of work, I like building smaller products and tools that start from a real need and grow into something clean, useful, and repeatable. Projects like Aledgely and my Trade Journal Assistant came from wanting better systems for tracking, analysis, and decision-making in areas that mattered personally to me, which is often where I do my best work.
